There are many great lenses in the Panasonic Lumix G catalog, but none so prestigious as the six produced in partnership with Leica. The Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 12mm f/1.4 ASPH, hereafter known just as the 12mm f/1.4 to simplify things, is the latest addition to the Leica series, and claims the title of the widest and brightest autofocus rectilinear lens for Micro Four Thirds.
Silver Studded Blue Butterflies at the Great Orme – A Lumix GX80 / OM-D E-M1 Gallery
My family has the quirky tradition of tracking down and photographing a new species of butterfly every summer. This year, we settled upon the Silver Studded Blue, so named for the light blue reflective scales on the underside of its wing that glint in the sunlight. Most colonies are scattered along the southern coast of the UK, but there are some exceptions such as the Great Orme in Llandudno, a spot renowned for its rare flora and fauna. Since Llandudno is only two hours from where we live, this is where we decided to try our luck!

The very first mirrorless lens we ever bought was the M.Zuiko 12mm f/2 for our Olympus OM-D E-M5 and for the longest time, it was the only lens we owned for the system. Though we’ve since sold it and the E-M5 to fund other gear, it is still one of our favourite primes because of its excellent optical quality and versatile focal length, which equates to 24mm in full-frame terms.

Panasonic Lumix ZS100 / TZ100 Review – The tiny travel companion
The other week, Mathieu and I took a four-day trip up to the Lake District to take advantage of the unusually good British weather and indulge in some landscape photography. For a trip like this, I normally would have brought an interchangeable lens camera and a few lenses, but this time around I wanted a change, so I grabbed Panasonic’s premium travel zoom compact camera, the Panasonic Lumix TZ100 (otherwise known as ZS100 in the USA).
