Testing the new Pro Set II by Rebecca Lily brought me in contact with a field in which I have little experience: film. Being part of the “digital” generation, I have never really given film a proper chance. My only experiences were when I was little (my first camera ever was a Yashica FX200) and during the Cinema School I attended in France where we learned to shoot and develop black and white film. I never felt a creative curiosity to continue with it and build a project around it, mainly because I always found digital more convenient for the work I do. But now that I am currently writing this introduction, I realise I should fill in this gap in my knowledge, as I believe that every new experience is precious for any photographer.

Camera Rain Cover: Rainproof your gear with the RainSleeve Op/Tech USA
Photographers who shoot British landscapes often manage to capture some of the most beautiful shots you’ll ever lay eyes on thanks to the intense colours of the varied terrain, but these shots come at a price. The British Isles see an average of 800mm of rainfall a year, and without the proper rain gear, you could risk causing irreparable damage to your camera and lenses.

The Good, the Bad and the Downright Wonderful of the Olympus Electronic Viewfinder VF-4
Update: our full review of the Pen E-P5 is now up!
I’ll be the first to make that sacrilege admission amongst photographers: I don’t need a viewfinder on my camera.
Perhaps this is because I am a pure product of the smartphone generation, or because my eyesight still serves me relatively well. Either way, holding my camera out in front of me in a pose which Kirt Tuck so eloquently calls the “stinky baby diaper hold” doesn’t make me feel like any less of a photographer. In truth, some of my best shots have been taken with my arms stretched out, full-length, with only an LCD screen to serve as guidance.
Olympus OM-D E-M5 Grip Review: Turn your E-M5 into a 3-in-1 camera!
The Olympus OM-D E-M5 is a great little camera, so great that it has officially become my primary camera for work, as I have explained in-depth in my article Mirrorless on the Job – Episode 1. But like any great camera, you always need some accessories to fine-tune it to perfection!

Review of the Expert Shield Screen Protector for the X100s and E-M5
Ethics statement: I have been asked by Expert Shield UK to test their screen protectors but I haven’t been paid to do so. The following reflects my thoughts and my thoughts only about its products.
Screen protectors tend to be a given for our smartphones, but it is less common to use them on digital camera LCD displays. We have the tendency to think that smartphones are more likely to be scratched because we place them everywhere – in our pockets, or in our bags, both of which are filled with potentially hazardous objects such as keys or pens. But camera screens can be just as vulnerable, which is why protecting them is a good idea.
