At Photokina we also looked at some of the newly announced manual focus lenses for mirrorless cameras. Some products turned out to be quite promising like the two Laowa lenses.

M.Zuiko 25mm f/1.2 PRO, 12-100mm f/4 PRO and 30mm f/3.5 macro – The new Olympus Micro Four Thirds lenses
Nope, we haven’t forgotten to talk about the new Olympus lenses introduced at Photokina. Though we had the chance to see them at the same time as the OM-D E-M1 II (hands-on articles here and here), we decided to share our findings in a separate article that I admit, has arrived a little later than I’d hoped!
Olympus introduced one affordable macro prime lens (the M.Zuiko 30mm f/3.5) and two new Pro lenses: the 25mm f/1.2 PRO and the 12-100mm f/4 PRO. As usual, you can find our hands-on Photokina video below followed by some thoughts.
Better late than never! – Samyang / Rokinon 12mm f/2 review (Fuji X-mount, Sony E-mount)
Over the past few months, we have been sharing numerous articles that focus on Samyang CS lenses designed for mirrorless cameras. In the specific CS category, there is one lens that we cannot skip even though it is no longer new: the 12mm f/2. It is one of the best deals you can find for your mirrorless APS-C camera. So even though the product is now two years old, we felt that it was about time to included on our review list. As the expression goes: better later than never!
Samyang / Rokinon 50mm f/1.2 CS review (Fuji X, Sony E, Canon M, Micro Four Thirds)
Much like the 21mm 1.4 that we reviewed recently, the 50mm 1.2 is part of the CS line-up of manual focus lenses designed for mirrorless cameras by the Korean brand Samyang. In our comparison with the Fujinon 56mm 1.2, the lens left the battlefield with a few broken bones. However, since I spent a long time with the lens, I decided to share a more complete article with more images. Let’s see if this 50mm can still be a interesting choice for Fuji X and mirrorless users in general despite its flaws.
Sony 85mm f/1.4 GM Review
The Sony 85mm GM is the long-awaited f/1.4 portrait lens for the full frame E-mount system. It is part of a new family of professional lenses called G Master, which is a step above the G series. In addition to the partnership with Zeiss, Sony decided to create its own set of premium lenses to show that they are capable of creating high quality lenses of their own.
