Although the Sony E 18-105 f/4 G PZ OSS was announced back in August of 2013, the first opportunity we had to use it was on the Sony a6300 this past month. Being an all-purpose lens with a very handy focal range and constant aperture of f/4, it accompanied us on a number of outings including an evening football game, a choir performance, and many nature walks.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Lens Review (for Sony E-mount / APS-C Format)
Given that Sony has been concentrating less on developing its APS-C lens line-up and more on augmenting its range of full-frame E-mount lenses, it is encouraging to see that Sigma has stepped up to the plate with an APS-C offering that’s hard to refuse: the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN.

Fujifilm XF 100-400mm Review for Wildlife and Sports Photography on the X-Pro2 and X-T1
Round three of the battle between the most recent super zooms designed for mirrorless cameras takes place in the land of Fujifilm with the new XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 which I rented for a week. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY – Hands-On with the Sony G Master lenses (24-70mm f/2.8 GM, 85mm f/1.4 GM & 70-200mm f/2.8 GM)
Cover image: a 100% crop shot with the 85mm at f/1.4
Yesterday we had the chance to try the new Sony G Master lenses in Amsterdam at the Sony Benelux headquarters. The 24-70mm f/2.8 and 85mm f/1.4 were final versions while the 70-200mm f/2.8 was a prototype and as such, was only on display. The event was very well-organised and we had plenty of time to test the lenses at various sets designed for the occasion.
