Fujifilm is taking an important step with the new lenses it recently announced, and with the lenses that will come in 2015. We are not talking about small and compact lenses but professional lenses with a complex design that can give you the best image quality while keeping size and weight as low as possible. Our first day at Photokina has been very exciting. After starting the day by interviewing three Senior Managers from Sony Japan, we went to the Fujifilm media session to discover the latest products announced a few days before the start of the event. After the presentation held by several managers from Fujifilm Japan, my heart naturally directed me towards the new X100T. Its predecessor is my favourite X camera to date and the first thing I wanted to check is whether that great feeling I had the first time I held it could be improved with this new version.
Just six days before Photokina 2014 begins, Fujifilm has made the decision to announce what it looks like the new cameras and lenses we will see at the show. Unless they are keeping a few other announcements under wraps, I think we can say with almost 100% certainty that there won’t be any new sensors, more megapixels or a new X-Pro2 in 2014. But don’t let that get you down–there are some interesting updates that will surely pique your interest!
