The Pen F was originally an interchangeable film camera that used the half frame format (18x24mm). It was a vertical format meaning you could capture two portrait oriented images in a single frame of 35mm film and as a result double the number of images on a single roll. Olympus produced three models between 1963 and 1970 along with 18 lenses.

Welcoming another standard prime – Panasonic Lumix 25mm f/1.7 Review
A permanent member in our collection of Micro Four Thirds lenses is the Panasonic 25mm Leica DG Summilux f/1.4. We spotted it second-hand at our local camera store in Italy and having very few lenses of our own at the time, immediately scooped it up. Over the years, it has proven a reliable companion for both work and casual photography thanks in no small part to its compactness and fast 1.4 aperture.

Wildlife photographers could fall in love with this – The Olympus EE-1 Dot Sight review
The Olympus Dot Sight EE-1 is a handy accessory to use with long telephoto lenses. By generating a dot style illuminated reticle, it helps you to frame subjects that are far away and moving fast, with birds being the most natural example. Olympus introduced the Dot Sight first in the form of the SP-100, a superzoom bridge camera that has it built-in. Then the company released a separate accessory along with the M.Zuiko 40-150mm Pro lens and MC-14 Teleconverter in 2014. I’d always been interested in trying it out and the chance came with the new 300mm Pro that we recently reviewed.
The first extreme telephoto prime – The Olympus 300mm f/4 IS Pro review
The M.Zuiko 300mm f/4 is the fifth professional lens produced by Olympus for Micro Four Thirds. Its development was first announced in 2014 at Photokina but the release was delayed to add optical stabilisation – a wise move as it makes this telephoto lens an interesting choice for Panasonic customers as well.

Sigma lenses on the Sony A7r II: a personal and on-going round-up
Since we purchased the Sony A7r II for our in-depth analysis, I have had the chance to test the camera with many different lenses including third-party DSLR lenses. There are two main reasons behind testing non-native E-mount glass. First, it was part of my in-depth autofocus test where I came to quite a positive conclusion. The second is a consequence of the first reason: I wanted to find out if some of these lenses could be integrated into a mirrorless system despite not being designed for Sony cameras in the first place.
