Voigtlander Super Wide Heliar 15mm f/4.5 Aspherical III Review for Sony E-mount

The second lens in the Voigtlander trio is also the narrowest of the three – if you can call 15mm narrow! This wide-angle lens, originally designed for the Leica M-mount and later updated for native use on Sony E-mount cameras, shares quite a few characteristics with the 10mm I reviewed last week, so don’t be alarmed if you begin to experience some deja-vu. 😉

For the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of testing the three new Voigtlander Heliar lenses for the Sony E-mount on our A7r II (review here). I love the challenge of working with extreme wide-angles and having read very positive reviews of the M-mount versions of these lenses, I couldn’t wait to try them out for myself on the landscapes and architectural marvels in our little corner of Wales.
